BJP will field two proxy Dalits to split SC votes, says Balka Suman

The Chennur MLA accused BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar and former minister Etala Rajendar of trying to split Dalit votes

KARIMNAGAR: Government chief whip and Chennur MLA Balka Suman asked Dalits to remain united as the BJP is planning to field two candidates from the SC community as independents to split their votes. He went on to declare that after Dr B.R. Ambedkar, it is Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao who is the messiah of Dalits.

“You must keep photos of both these leaders in your homes,” Suman advised SCs while participating as chief guest at the “'Dalit Athmayee Sabha” organised at Uppala village in Kamalapur mandal of Huzurabad constituency. Parkal MLA Challa Dharma Reddy also participated in the meeting, held in the run up to expected by-election in Huzurabad assembly constituency.

The Chennur MLA accused BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar and former minister Etala Rajendar of trying to split Dalit votes by playing cheap politics of fielding two independent SC candidates. They are afraid of TRS sweeping the Huzurabad by-poll after the Chief Minister announced implementation of prestigious Dalit Bandhu scheme and sanctioned `10 lakh to poor Dalit families.

“When CM KCR has announced one lakh crore rupees for Dalit Bandhu scheme, Bandi Sanjay could have at least brought Rs 50,000 crore for Dalits from the centre, instead of playing cheap politics,” Suman stated.

He claimed that no other leader but TRS chief has introduced Dalit Bandhu scheme. Thus, Dalit communities must keep only two photos in their houses – one of the CM and the other of Dr Ambedkar, he maintained.
