The power scenario has improved and Tamil Nadu has become a production State attracting investments.

Chennai: Electricity Minister P. Thangamani slammed the opposition parties in the Assembly for alleging that industries migrated out of Tamil Nadu and said this 'misinformation campaign' on the industrial scenario was sending wrong signals to the investors and public.

“The situation is not what you claim. The power scenario has improved and Tamil Nadu has become a production State attracting investments,” Mr. Thangamani said refuting the charge leveled by Congress member H. Vasanth Kumar. Contending that many industrial estates have become non functional Mr. Vasanth Kumar alleged that no new industry has come up in Tamil Nadu.
