CM promised to shutdown anti-TTV rhetoric: MLA

Legislators claim Dhinakaran issue will not be raked up.

Chennai: AIADMK legislators Thanga Tamilchelvan and P. Vetrivel on Wednesday said Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisami has promised to ensure that no Minister would henceforth demand the expulsion of party general secretary V.K. Sasikala and deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran.

The intra-party rebellion against the two would soon be a thing of the past and TTV would continue to exercise absolute control of the party, they told reporters at his Adyar bungalow late evening.

“During our recent meeting with the CM, we raised the unsavoury statements made by Minister D. Jayakumar and the CM promised such things will not recur. No one in the Cabinet will henceforth speak against Chinnamma and TTV”, said the robust duo, adding, “Should anyone violate this promise and make any provocative statement, party will take stern action”.

Adding credence to their claim, there was no anti-TTV rhetoric from the EPS camp since Minister Jayakumar’s assertion on Tuesday that the party would henceforth be administered “only by a five-member vazhinadappu kuzhu (guiding committee)” and the party legislators’ calling on TTV “is only personal and has no political significance”.
