I paid nobody to become minister: Dr G Parameshwar
Mysuru: KPCC President Dr G. Parameshwar hotly denied Nanjangud BJP candidate and his former cabinet colleague V. Srinivasprasad’s allegation that he had made a payoff to become minister and said, “I will never stoop to that level.” Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, he said, “What document or proof does he (Srinivasprasad) have?”
On Srinivasprasad’s statement that Dalits in the Congress are being finished off by CM Siddaramaiah, he said, “I don’t see anything of that kind happening.” He also refuted the charge that Siddaramaiah ensured his defeat in the 2013 elections to rule him out of the CM race, remarking, “I do not know about it.” Reacting to former MP A.H. Vishwanath’s statement that it was not necessary to bring the entire cabinet to the bypoll constituencies, he said, “Some ministers like Kagodu Thimmappa, H.K. Patil and Krishna Byregowda are supervising drought relief work. A minister is also a party worker but we have ensured that our work as ministers does not suffer. We have not neglected administration. For instance, I am keeping a tab on day to day crimes and giving necessary instructions.”
