Elect BJP MLA, get Cabinet berth: Rajiv Pratap Rudy
Malappuram: Union Minister and BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy has promised a berth in the central cabinet for Kerala if the party breaks into the assembly.
“Take one and get one free is the marketing strategy of today. And if the BJP could win a seat in Kerala assembly the state will get a union minister,” Rudy said in his inaugural speech during the district NDA election convention here. Offers were galore in his speech.
He also went on to offer two seats in union cabinet if the party gets two MLAs in Kerala. For a winning majority he offered vital posts at the Centre. He also expressed hope in BJP’s emergence as the single largest party in Kerala. “When the BJP was formed in 1980, we had only two MPs in the parliament. But today we have emerged as the single largest party with 282 seats. I can assure that something similar is soon going to happen in Kerala,” He said.
The Union Minister also came down heavily on Communist parties of Kerala. “The communist parties that have disappeared from Russia to Cuba has now confined to a tale end portion of India,” he said lambasting the communist parties of Kerala. All the 16 NDA candidates from the district were present at the convention.
