Madras high court reserves orders on O Paneerselvam, 10 other MLAs

Chennai: The Madras high court has reserved orders on a batch of petitions, which sought to disqualify Deputy Chief Minister O. Paneerselvam and 10 other MLAs, who voted against Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisamy when the confidence motion was moved by the Chief Minister in the Tamil Nadu State Assembly on February 18, 2017.
The First Bench comprising Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice Abdul Quddhose reserved orders after arguments from both sides on the batch of petitions from DMK chief whip Sakkrapani and four rebel MLAs Vetrivel, Rangasamy, Parthiban and Thanga Thamizhselvam.
