Raghunandan Rao dares KTR for debate on ITIR

Hyderabad: Dubbak MLA M. Raghunandan Rao dared minister K.T. Rama Rao to a debate on the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR), for which the state government had failed to submit a detailed project report due to this inefficiency.

Speaking to reporters here, Raghunandan Rao said that then UPA government had decided to set up ITIR in two phases in Hyderabad and had released funds which the state government failed to spend. The NDA government released ₹85 crore in 2015 for the ITIR, he said and demanded that the government release a White Paper.

He said the Centre was is committed to setting up the ITIR in Hyderabad. Saying the Centre was giving utmost importance for highways and railways in Telangana, he asked by the Metro Rail was not extended to Falaknuma. He held the BRS and the MIM responsible for this and said the two parties were not interested in the Old City development.
