BRS looking for Congress support: BJP

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had accepted defeat against the BJP even before the elections due to the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP spokesperson said, referring to an interview of BRS MLC K. Kavitha.

He claimed that Kavitha had expressed the BRS’ intention to have a truck with the Congress, and this could not have been stated without the consent of Chandrashekar Rao, Subhash said. The Congress had played with the faith and sentiments of the majority community for decades, the BRS had adopted the same policy for the last eight years, he alleged.

He claimed that Chandrasekhar Rao had repeatedly said that BRS would be a “Congress-free party” but had changed his mind after seeing the reception at the Nanded meeting. Subhash said no political party could stand before the BJP as Prime Minister Modi had the support of 130 crore citizens based on his work.
