Rahul Gandhi to discuss poll strategies on his two-day Kerala visit
Thiruvananthapuram: Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, who will begin his two-day visit to Kerala on Tuesday, is scheduled to meet party leaders and discuss strategies to adopt in the coming Assembly elections.
Gandhi, who will arrive here by a special flight by noon, would address Congress workers at the conclusion of the 'Janaraksha march' taken out by KPCC President V M Sudheeran and later attend a meeting of senior party leaders in the city.
The presence of the Gandhi is likely to give a boost to the party workers in the backdrop of the Congress-led United
Democratic Front (UDF) government facing embarrassment in the bar bribery and solar scams, with allegations being raised against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and some of his ministers.
On Wednesday, the Congress Vice-President will be addressing a KPCC Executive Meeting here in the morning and will also be meeting DCC Presidents and leaders of various allied organisations of the party in the state.
Gandhi will then leave for Kochi where he will be visiting the 'Start up village' at Kinfra Park and address the National Executive of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) at Angamally.
