Ongole: MP Y.V. Subba Reddy demanded that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu include Kapu community in the BCs’ list to avail reservations and keep up his election promise.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he criticised that the government was neglecting the Kapus after elections. He alleged that the agitators burnt the Ratnachal Express at Tuni due to failure of intelligence.

He said that he would raise the irregularities committed by the Janma Bhoomi committees in Parliament and criticised that the government had accommodated the TD leaders who were defeated in the election in Janma Bhoomi committees for political rehabilitation.

Referring to the Polavaram Project, he said that the Centre as well as state government was neglecting the multipurpose Polavaram Project. He reminded their promise that they will complete the project by 2018 and criticised the state government for not mounting the pressure on the Centre for the same.

The MP said he had met Niti Aayog vice-chairman Aravind Panagariya and requested to set up Polavaram Authority and allot Rs 2,000 crore for the project.
