TD-Jana Sena Government Offers to Supply Power at Rs 1.50 Per Unit to Aqua Sector

Kakinada: Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has promised the aqua farmers that the government of TD and Jana Sena would supply power at Rs 1.50 paise per unit to the aqua sector and restore its past glory.

Participating in the Raa..Kadali Raa.. public meeting at Achanta in West Godavari district on Sunday, Naidu said, “Our coalition government would take action against the YSRC leaders involved in the TDR bonds scam. The living standards and income of no one in this state has increased since 2019 under the YSRC government, other than the income and assets of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.”

“This chief minister was exploiting the people with increases in petrol-diesel prices and electricity charges and by imposing various taxes. The YSRC government had destroyed the aqua sector in the West Godavari district. Two lakh acres used to be under the aqua sector during the TD rule, but now, their cost of production has increased three times,” Naidu said.

Speaking about the Polavaram Project, Chandrababu said Jagan Mohan Reddy should be dethroned. “Some 72 per cent of the Polavaram project was completed during the TD term. But, now, the project has been halted.” He said that the TD government would complete the Polavaram Project and provide water to the people through the interlinking of rivers.

Naidu slammed the government for using ESMA against the anganwadi workers. He criticised the YSRC leaders for blaming him and TD for YS Sharmila’s revolt against Jagan Reddy. “It is a YS family dispute.” He also questioned the claim of the chief minister that the coming election would be a fight between the poor and the capitalists. “Jagan Reddy is the richest CM in the country with an asset of Rs 510 crore.”

The TD, he said, would implement the Super Six programmes by creating wealth. “The TDR bonds scam has started in Tanuku and the people who are responsible for this will be punished.”
