Peddireddy Firm on Wresting Hindupur from TD for YSRC

Anantapur: While the YSRC is targeting the Telugu Desam strongholds in the Rayalaseema region, particularly Kuppam and Hindupur, regional coordinator Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy is going the whole hog out to grab Hindupur that stood with TD for three decades.

The regional coordinator launched his six- day-long tour to cover maximum villages and touch all the 36 gram panchayats in Hindupur assembly segment in the Satya Sai district on Monday.

Accompanied by Hindupur MP candidate J. Santha and assembly candidate Deepika and Chittoor MP N. Reddappa and Anantapur ZP chairperson B Girijamma, the regional coordinator visited Chowlur, Tumakunta, Gollapuram and Santebidanur areas.

The YSRC and previously the Congress were unable to win the Hindupur seat from TD. This upper hand for TD was mainly due to the people’s affection for its founder N.T. Rama Rao in the area. His son Nandamuri Balakrishna is representing Hindupur as TD representative. Balakrishna too is working hard to retain the seat in the 2024 polls.

The YSRC high command has taken special efforts to solve the internal issues of the party at grassroot level.

Ramachandra Reddy on his six-day tour aims to find solutions for all the issues at village level. Referring to poor development of Hindupur during the TD rule, he observed, “There is no proper development, industrial or in other sectors, even as the people elected TD MLAs repeatedly. This time either Balakrishna or his brother-in-law Chandrababu Naidu himself will be tasting defeat in the Hindupur assembly segment,'' the YSRC leader said.

On the first day of his tour, Ramachandra Reddy held meetings with workers of various industries from Hindupur industrial area and promised the people he would concentrate on massive development of Hindupur, mainly in the industrial sector.

While introducing the MP and MLA candidates to the people, he said chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is keen that BC women are given priority for both the MP and MLA seats.
