National party joining hands with TD, JS to run down YSRC, says minister Ramesh

Kakinada: Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh has given a call to the people to defeat the “evil designs’’ of the Telugu Desam-Jana Sena combine, which is taking assistance from a “national party.”

Speaking at the YSRC Samajika Sadhikaratha Bus Yatra rally at Dosakayalapalli village in Korukonda mandal, Ramesh said that the TD, Jana Sena and the yellow media had already hatched conspiracies to defeat the YSRC. “Now, a national party is going to join hands with this vicious group in AP.”

“But, all these parties and their media can’t do anything against chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSRC. I urge the people to render their full support to Jagan Reddy and defeat the designs of the other parties,” he said.

The yatra was led by Rajanagaram MLA Jakkampudi Raja on Sunday.

Ramesh said that 17 ministerial berths have been allotted to the BC, SC, ST and Minority communities in the Jagan-led cabinet. Four Rajya Sabha seats out of nine have been given to BCs besides posts of MLCs and corporation chairperson.

He said that Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu conducted a meeting by spending crores of rupees at Tiruvuru in Krishna district, but there were hardly a few people there and the meeting was an utter flop. “More than 10 times that crowd attended the Dosakayalapalli meeting of the YSRC,” he claimed.

Ramesh said that the YSRC is being led by representatives of the SC, ST, Minority, BC and Kapu communities. They would ensure victory for the YSRC in the coming polls, he claimed.

“Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is making hectic efforts to step into the assembly and that's why, he wants to make Chandrababu Naidu the chief minister. Telugu Desam killed Vangaveeti Ranga and the Kapus should remember this forever and defeat the Telugu Desam again, as in the 2019 elections.”

Minister Merugu Nagarjuna said Chandrababu Naidu made 600 promises in 2014 but not a single promise was implemented.

Rajya Sabha member Pilli Subhashchandra Bose said YSRC is the only party and Jagan Mohan Reddy the only chief minister in the country to have fulfilled all the poll promises of a ruling party.

MP Nandigam Suresh said Chandrababau Naidu is making a vicious campaign against the YSRC that “there is an anti-incumbency wave" in the state. “If this is so, the TD should fight the polls all alone without any alliance for all 175 seats,” he challenged Naidu.

Rajanagaram MLA Jakkampudi Raja said that the governance of Jagan Reddy since 2019 marked a golden era for Andhra Pradesh. Cine actor Ali called upon the people to elect Jakkampudi Raja with a thumping majority.

Home minister Taneti Vanitha, BC welfare minister Srinivasa Venugopalakrishna and others were present.
