BC Commission Battle Heats Up: BJP State Chief Fires Back at Jagan

VISHAKHAPATNAM: The political battlefield over Andhra Pradesh's BC Commission erupted Sunday as BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari countered Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's criticism. Brandishing the BJP's record of establishing legally valid BC Commissions in several states, Purandeswari questioned Jagan's commitment to the community, highlighting his doubts about the Andhra commission's legitimacy during his padyatra.

Taking the offensive, Purandeswari championed her party's unwavering support for reservations, pointing to the existing 27% reservation implemented in BJP-ruled states. Drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dedication to BC issues, she expressed unwavering faith in the BJP's legal framework, designed to secure justice for the community.

Defending the BJP's initiatives in the face of Jagan's accusations, Purandeswari reiterated her party's unwavering commitment to the BC community. Echoing Modi's vision, she affirmed that all necessary measures are being undertaken at both national and state levels to ensure fairness and justice for the Backward Classes.
