K Chandrasekhar Rao sets up panel to draft Panchayat Raj Bill

The Bill will be introduced in the Budget Session of the State Legislature in March.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao constituted a seven member Cabinet sub-committee on Sunday to draft the new Panchayat Raj Bill, to empower gram panchayats with more powers and funds.

The Bill will be introduced in the Budget Session of the State Legislature in March.

The committee consists of panchayat raj minister Jupally Krishna Rao as chairman, with members being ministers Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, K.T. Rama Rao, A. Indrakaran Reddy, Etala Rajender, Tummala Nageswara Rao and T. Harish Rao.
