Naidu, Pawan to Jointly Decide Who Will Be CM

PK says JS not walking behind TD

Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said on Thursday that he and TD president Chandrababu Naidu would discuss and decide who would be the chief minister if the alliance wins the 2024 elections.

Addressing a public meeting here, Pawan said the discussions would not be held in secrecy.

“Based on your opinion, the chief ministerial candidate will be finalised,’’ the Jana Sena chief told the cheering crowd.

Asserting that Jana Sena was not a B team but a partner of the TD, Pawan Kalyan said his party would walk along with TD and not behind it.

Stressing on the importance of the alliance, he said he forged a partnership with Telugu Desam because the future of the younger generation in AP was at stake.

“There would be no jobs for another five years if YSRC is voted to power. The youngsters would be forced to move to other states looking for employment,” he stated.

PK said the alliance in 2014 worked out but unfortunately its success could not be repeated in 2019. “To avoid such a serious mistake, a fresh alliance was worked to avoid a split of anti –YSRC votes in the coming elections.”

Appreciating the North Andhra region’s help to him for becoming a movie star, PK said the people of this region gave him the “strength to fight and courage to face the enemies of the people.”

“I am running the party alone because of the strength given by the people of north Andhra and it is here that I give a call to free north Andhra from the YSRC rule,’’ Pawan told the crowd.

The JS leader said Telugu sentiment grew from here when 37 people gave their lives for the establishment of the steel plant. But, unfortunately, the Telangana government removed 29 backward castes from the government list and no leader from Andhra Pradesh raised the issue, he said.

“I will take up all the issues of north Andhra, stop migration of youngsters to other states and build jetties every 30km along the coast,’’ PK said.
