Chennai: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), which would be holding at least 32 examinations in 2022, to recruit personnel for over 13,000 State government posts, will not be providing for the 10.5 per cent exclusive quota for the Vanniyar community as the reservation has been set aside by the Madras High Court.
TNPSC chairman K Balachandran, who unveiled the annual calendar of recruitments for 2022 on Tuesday, told the media that the system had been tweaked to ensure that there would be no more irregularities in future recruitments.
No one would be able to identify the candidate by looking at the answer sheet that would have no extra space for interpolating anything, as it allegedly happened in earlier times leading to scams, he said.
New foolproof systems were being introduced to make the recruitment process transparent and fair since the Commission had been facing several charges of irregularities committed with the connivance of its own staff and with the active involvement of racketeers.
None of the staff who were suspected to have a role in the previous scams were with the Commission now and all the cases were pending in court, Balachandran said, adding that there would be no scope in future for intercepting the answer sheets as they were being transported as the movement of the vehicles carrying them would be monitored through GPS,
The recruitment planner released by Balachandran has the tentative months in which the 32 listed examinations would be held, though job aspirants have been advised to visit the Commission’s website ‘as frequently as possible’ for updates on notifications.
The annual planner for 2021 with 42 posts had already been hosted in the website and of them 10 notifications had been made.
The Combined Civil Services Examination –II (Group-II and IIA) would be held in February to select candidates for 5861 posts and the Combined Civil Services Examination –IV (Group IV and VAO) would be in March to fill 5255 vacancies.
Recruitment of civil judges in the State judicial service would be in May.
The planner also provides details on the type of examinations that would be held and informs about the mandatory Tamil eligibility test....
