Botsa angry over shoddy health camp arrangements under JAS in Vizianagaram

Visakhapatnam: An angry education minister Botsa Satyanarayana pulled up the local tahsildar for inadequacies in organising of the health camp under Jagananna Arogya Suraksha at Puritipenta village in Gajapathinagaram mandal of Vizianagaram district on Saturday.

The minister made a surprise visit to the health camp. After interacting with the patients, he found that their health profiles had not been created. JAS kits had not been given to the villagers.

Later, speaking to reporters, he warned that severe action will be taken against those who neglect their duties in conducting the JAS programme. He expressed the confidence that the government will be ready with the health profile of nearly five crore people of the state during the next 45 days.

Satyanarayana visited another health camp under JAS at Bondepalle village in the same district. Addressing a small gathering, he said JAS is a unique scheme providing specialist health services at every home.

He pointed out that health workers are conducting door to door surveys. If necessary, patients are even being taken to medical camps for conducting tests and continuing treatment.

The minister said serious cases will be referred to bigger hospitals for efficient treatment.
