Nizamabad MP K Kavitha emerges even stronger
Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha, the daughter of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has emerged stronger after the TRS-affiliated union won a landslide victory in the Singareni Collieries union elections on Thursday.
If her elder brother and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao successfully handled the municipal elections by ensuring a big victory for the TRS in 2016, Ms Kavitha, as honorary president of the TRS trade union Telangana Boggu Gani Karmika Sangham has steered the union to a massive victory with her aggressive political strategies and campaigning.
The demand for fielding Ms Kavitha for an Assembly seat in the 2019 elections has only grown within the party and her supporters after the Singareni win.
Her supporters want her to contest the Assembly seat either from Nizamabad or Medak and play a key role in state politics. In fact, Ms Kavitha, who organises Bathukamma events as president of Telangana Jagruthi, abroad every year during Dasara cancelled them this time owing to the union elections and camped in the six districts covering the Singareni Collieries Company Ltd.
She led ministers, party MPs, MLAs, and MLCs devising and executing poll strategies.
