Krishnaiah to Centre: Declare sub-quota for OBCs, SCs, STs in women quota

Hyderabad: BC National Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah on Thursday demanded that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre allocate a sub-quota for women from the BC, SC and ST communities in the women's reservation Bill and pass it in the special Parliament session to be held from September 18 to 22.

Krishnaiah also appointed G. Rama Devi as the woman convener of the association following which the women's wing core committee meeting held a meeting. After the meeting, Krishnaiah said that the women's association would hold a protest in Delhi on September 21 and 22 to press its demand for the women's reservations Bill.
