KCR trying to erase true history of Telangana liberation: Laxman

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was conspiring to mislead people on the history of Telangana’s struggle for freedom from the Nizam, and this was why he decided to call September 17, the day Hyderabad State was liberated and joined the Indian Union, as ‘Hyderabad Integration Day’, BJP BC Morcha national president Dr K. Laxman, a Rajya Sabha member, said.

Speaking at a meeting of the city BJP core committee on Tuesday, that was attended by party state in-charge Tarun Chugh, Dr Laxman called on party leaders and workers to take up service programmes for the people to mark September 17, the Hyderabad Liberation Day, which also happened to be the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting was attended among others by state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar, general secretaries G. Premender Reddy and D. Pradeep Kumar, and party national executive member N Indrasena Reddy.
