Top leaderships of TRS and BJP keeping close watch on their MLAs and MPs

ADILABAD: The top leadership of the TRS and the BJP are keeping a close watch on the movements of their MLAs and MPs in the context of the Dalita Girijana Dandora meeting in Indravelli on August 9.

News is making rounds in the political circles that some senior TRS and BJP leaders worked from behind in the recent joining of some of their associates in the Congress party in the presence of state party chief Revanth Reddy.

After the Congress high command recently made Revanth the state party chief, he has been working at different levels to revive the fortunes of the party.

Top TRS and BJP brass have inquired about the joining of some second-rung leaders from the two parties in the Congress and also about the likelihood of more such leaders extending their support to the Congress party.

A TRS MLA of old Adilabad district recently met party working president KT Ramarao and explained why he was having close associations with the Congress party in recent times.

Both TRS and BJP high commands are checking if any of their MLAs and MPs is getting in touch with Revanth Reddy.

News is that a senior Adivasi leader has joined the Congress with the blessings of a senior BJP leader of the district and a TRS MLA.

Khanapur TRS MLA Ajmeera Rekhanaik had recently taken some Adivasi and minority leaders to KTR in the run-up to the Dalita-Girijana Dandora.

Intelligence sleuths have been asked by top government entities to make inquiries about Revanth Reddy’s visit to the Indravelli martyrs memorial where he paid homage to the martyrs on April 20.

Revanth Reddy had also addressed a small gathering in Heerapur village in Indravelli mandal and interacted with the Adivasis. He subsequently donated Rs50,000 for the construction of a Hanuman temple in the village. Now police are trying to find out which all leaders had organised Revanth Reddy’s visits to Indravelli and Heerapur.

Curiously, Revanth Reddy had asked Congress leaders not to come and meet him during his Indravelli meeting.
