BJP divided into two groups in Narsampet town

Supporters of Rana Prathap ransack party office

WARANGAL: The BJP is facing an internal fight between two groups in Narsampet town. Party leader Rana Prathap’s supporters and associates allegedly ransacked the party office in Narsampet town on Thursday. They alleged that the party was ignoring Rana Prathap in Warangal district.

Differences among the BJP leaders came to the fore ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled meeting in Warangal on July 8. In the attack, furniture was damaged and the glasses of the party office were broken. All these happened in the presence of BJP national executive member and former MP Jithender Reddy.

A constituency-level meeting was convened in Narasampet under the leadership of Revuri Reddy to finalise plans for the PM’s meeting. Jithender Reddy was the chief guest. A section of BJP leaders demanded disciplinary action against Rana Prathap for the ransacking of the party office by his supporters earlier in the day.
