Hyderabad: The Telangana State Election Commission has decided to release the municipal poll schedule by the last week of July and complete the process by August. The polls will be conducted using ballot paper, it said.
Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi, Director General of Police M. Mahendar Reddy, director, municipal administration, T.K. Sridevi and SEC commissioner V. Nagi Reddy met on Saturday and reviewed the reservations in municipalities, and the law and order situation conduct fare fre and fair elections.
At the meeting, it was decided that the poll schedule will be released in the last week of July and completed next month. It decided that the polls will be held in a single phase using ballot paper. Instructions were given to the officials to expedite the printing of ballot papers and submit them to the SEC at the earliest.
