DV Sadananda Gowda hints at BSY-led new government

Senior leaders have already cleared it and they do not have any other names,” he said, speaking to media persons here on Saturday.

Mysuru: As the BJP emerged as the probable beneficiary in the face of the imminent collapse of the JD(S)- Congress coalition government, Union Minister Mr D V Sadananda Gowda not only signalled that BJP will go along with the decision taken by Governor on the political developments in the State, he also added significantly that if a new BJP government was to be formed in the state it would be headed by Mr B S Yeddyurappa as the chief minister.

“Senior leaders have already cleared it and they do not have any other names,” he said, speaking to media persons here on Saturday. He said, “Soon after coalition government came to existence in the State, initially, BJP had attempted to form government once (he was referring to the failed Operation Kamala). But BJP is not responsible for the present political developments. And BJP has no role in the resignation of dissatisfied MLAs. MLAs of both parties have resigned only because they were dissatisfied,” he said.

“Now that MLAs close to former CM Siddaramaiah themselves have resigned. On this situation, I do not want to comment on it,” he said. He said that, “Home minister must intervene now. He will take report on the current status of the political developments in the State and he will report to President of India,” Mr Sadanandagowda said.
