Visakhapatnam: On stamp paper, V.V. Lakshminarayana vows to fulfil promise

Voters asked to move legally if promises are not kept.

Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena candidate for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha V.V. Lakshminarayana on Saturday released a local manifesto of the party on a Rs 100 stamp paper here.

Mr Lakshminarayana is not the first to do this from Jana Sena. He said that giving the promises on a stamp paper shows his commitment.

The former CBI officer said, “If the people of Visakhapatnam bless me with their votes, I will work hard to keep all the promises made on the stamp paper. I will make the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency the best in the country. I will fight in Parliament for Special Category Status for AP. I will submit my progress report to the people every three months. My aim is to make Vizag a safe, smart, clean and happy city.”

In his manifesto, Mr Lakshminarayana mentioned various promises related to drinking water, pollution control, law and order, education, medical and health, women empowerment, railway, development of slums, welfare of fishermen, traffic and transport, industries, tourism, housing and employment.

He said that the people can question him if he failed to fulfil his promises. “All the political parties are releasing the manifestoes that are similar to brochures. This stamp paper has the legal sanctity to question me if I fail to do what I promised. You can also see the signatures of the witnesses on the stamp paper,” he said.
