Visakhapatnam: D. Purandeswari promises to generate jobs
Visakhapatnam: BJP Lok Sabha contestant from Vizag constituency D. Purandeswari on Saturday promised to create plenty of employment opportunities for the youth if she wins in the ensuing elections.
As the South Coast Railway was announced with Vizag as headquarters, the Railway Recruitment Board would be set up here and this would help in generating one lakh jobs for the youth, Ms Purandeswari said.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd is likely to come up with a Skill Development Institute in the city. “We will make it happen so that the unemployed graduates can enhance skill and get jobs,” she said.
The BJP leader also plans to encourage tourism sector in the city to give a boost to job opportunities in the hospitality industry.
She aims to have more vistadome coaches to Araku as Indian Railways orders for hundred vistadome coaches in the country.
Though there were several vacancies in Andhra University and King George Hospital, the recruitments have not been made in the past few years. She promised to fill all the vacant posts if the BJP returns to power.
Recollecting some of the major achievements during her previous tenure, the former MP said that she was instrumental in many developments in the city such as beach beautification, airport facilities and Anandapuram-Anakapalle road.
