Rajahmundry: At a time when the electioneering is peaking up with just three days to go for its conclusion, the contestants from all major political parties are busy. A brief spell of rain brought relief while in some cases played spoilsport in Godavari districts.
Even as the contestants along with their supporters are braving the scorching heat which is touching 39-40 degrees centigrade to reach out to the people to win their favour throughout the day in the last few days, the sky turned overcast in the afternoon with heavy gales for some time. Under its impact, the day temperature dipped and the rainfall started and continued for several hours.
Though the contestants and their supporters felt relief but they were forced to wind up their campaign for the day as rainfall with heavy gales affected them. However, some contestants even braved the rainfall for a while but they too were forced to wind it up as rainfall continued without any let up for several hours.
