Maheshwar Reddy urges to support Congress and bring back Indiramma Rajyam

Adilabad: AICC programme implementation committee chairman Alleti Maheshwar Reddy has appealed to the people to support the Congress party and bring back the Indiramma Rajyam in the state and at the Centre.

He alleged that minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy failed to fulfill the promises he made to the local people in the past.

Reddy was addressing a street corner meeting at Mamada mandal headquarters on his way from Koratikal as part of his Telangana Congress poru yatra, as part of the Haath Se Haath Jodo’, on its fourth day on Monday.

Reddy alleged that Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has literally failed to fulfill the promises he made during the Telangana agitation – that is, Neellu, Nidhulu, and Niyamakalu.

“Almost 80 percent of the population in Telangana are poor and nearly 45 lakh people are surviving on a monthly pension of Rs 2,000. Nearly 25 lakh qualified youths are jobless in the state,” he said.

Reddy said the Telangana Congress Poru Yatra has been receiving an overwhelming response from all sections of society and added that the BJP government at the Centre and the BRS government in Telangana had been cheating the people since 2014.

He termed the BJP as the Bhrasht Jhumla Parthy and the BRS as Bandhipotula Rashstra Samiti and said the “dictatorial and anti- people” rule of these parties would end soon and the Congress would return to power in Telangana and at the Centre.
