The party high command had fielded its candidates, R. Satyanarayana, Naradasu Laxman Rao and Swamy Goud officially in the past for the Karimnagar MLC Graduates elections in the past, but has not done so this time. It is said that the party high command does not want to take ‘any risk’ just before the Lok Sabha elections. Moreover, still TRS party high command is of the opinion that the educated youth may vote against the party in this critical juncture when the party is going for the Lok Sabha elections. Many candidates in the fray including Chandrasekhar Goud, are trying to get the support of the TRS party and its leaders but the party has not yet taken a decision for this.

Campaigning for the party candidate for the Karimnagar MLC graduates constituency, T. Jeevan Reddy, former minister and Manthani MLA D. Sridhar Babu said that the TRS party did not field its candidate due to the fear that unemployed youth and educated were against the party and may vote against its candidate in the elections.

The TRS party high command is also of the opinion that party leaders will lose focus if they field candidates in the MLC graduates constituency when the party is seriously preparing for the LS elections which are crucial for the party. to play a key role in national politics.
