BJP playing cheap politics, fumes TRS
HYDERABAD: Despite Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao clarifying his remarks against PM Narendra Modi, the state BJP is going overboard by trying to get political mile-age out of a non-issue. The ruling TRS on Monday criticised the saffron party’s protest and to lay siege on Pragati Bhavan.
Addressing the media here on Tuesday, party MLC Karne Prabhakar gave a new name to BJP by term-ing it as Bharatiya “Jhoota” Party. He recalled how the BJP national president Amit Shah tried to mislead public in Telangana about funds given by Centre to Telangana. “It was left to KCR to sensitise the people of Telangana on the issue, which he did successfully and after that Mr Shah did not dare visit the state, until now,” said the MLC.
Mr Prabhakar was highly critical of the national pa-rty for clinging on to a non-issue for several days, and the people of the state were shocked at their behavior and lop-sided priorities.
The BJP’s cheap tricks in Telangana will not work out because people in the state are well aware of what Mr Rao and Mr Modi did for them. Mr Prabhakar sought to know from the rival party as to why they did not feel like holding a protest in front of PM Modi’s house when seven mandals in Khammam district were merged with AP without the proper protocol.
The BJP's graph is sliding in Telangana after the big drubbing in the GHMC elections and he felt that the performance of the divisions falling under their party MLAs was a reflection of that.
