Hyderabad: A police official investigating the attack on MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi said they had registered an FIR the same day and submitted it before the court. He said the allegations made by the accused that the FIR was registered the next day were false.
Then sub inspector Nizamuddin said he was on duty on April 30, 2011, when the incident occurred and came to the police station, where assistant sub inspector Jaffar was present. “Security was deployed at the scene of offence after getting instructions from higher officials, over the VHF (radio)” he said. He said he did not make a GC entry of the VHF instructions.
He denied the allegations that senior officers had taken his signature on the FIR the next day after involving innocent people in collusion with MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi.
