Bandaru Dattatreya tells Telangana government to work with Centre

Mr Dattatreya said the state government was “unnecessarily criticising†the Centre on some issues, including on farmers issue.

Hyderabad: Union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya told the state government not to criticise the Centre without reason. “The Centre is helping the state’s farmers. The state government should cooperate with the Centre in the implementation of various schemes,” he said.

Mr Dattatreya said the state government was “unnecessarily criticising” the Centre on some issues, including on farmers issue. “The Centre is standing by farmers,” he said.

He said that to ensure increase in agricultural income, the production cost should come down. The state government should immediately release the fourth instalment of loan waiver and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should do everything to provide succour to farmers.

“With regard to Fasal Bheema Yojana, the Centre is moving fast while the state government is lagging behind,” he added.

He said “accepted brickbats and bouquets equally” and would not be swayed by praise or felled by criticism.
