CM Chandrababu Naidu says ready to probe complaints on Amaravati capital land

Mr Naidu blamed the Leader of the Opposition for deliberately creating hurdles on Amaravati's path to being a world class city.

Hyderabad: Defending the land purchases by some individuals around the Amaravati capital area, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Sunday that his government was ready to probe any complaint from those who sold the lands.

He asked if anyone could forcibly occupy land or make illegal transactions in Krishna and Guntur districts, given the acumen the farmers living there.

Explaining his government’s stand on a series of reports appearing in the YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy-owned Sakshi newspaper, Mr Naidu blamed the Leader of the Opposition for deliberately creating hurdles on Amaravati’s path to being a world class city.

He accused Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy of going to the National Green Tribunal and the Supreme Court at every stage and working against the development of the state, which was deprived of everything due to the unscientific division of united AP.

'He (Mr Reddy) is clearly working against development, against Amaravati,” he said.
