PCC chief to contest from Kalyanadurg

The supporters and well-wishers pressed Mr Raghuveera Reddy to contest from Kalyanadurgam, treating it as a safe seat.

Vijayawada: AP Congress Committee president and former minister N Raghuveera Reddy will contest the election from Kalyanadurgam Assembly seat. Earlier in the 2014 elections, Mr Rahuveera Reddy contested from Penukonda Assembly seat and was defeated.

The supporters and well-wishers pressed Mr Raghuveera Reddy to contest from Kalyanadurgam, treating it as a safe seat. They pointed out that Mr Raghuveera Reddy was the MLA of Kalyanadurgam from 2009 to 2014.

Mr Raghurveera Reddy said that the AP Congress would receive applications for Congress tickets to contest in the Assembly and Parliament elections from February 7 to 10 in 13 districts of AP State. He said that he would submit his application seeking a Congress ticket for Kalyanadurgam on Thursday at 10.30 am.
