YS Jaganmohan Reddy slams TD for Pennar Delta lapse

The YSRCP Chief accepted their petition and gave assurance that YSRCP would work for resolving their issues.

Nellore: YSR Congress Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy lambasted the state government for its failure to complete the Pennar Delta Modernisation scheme launched during Dr YSR regime.

Addressing a well attended public meeting at Sangam on Tuesday evening, he said 80 percent of the work was over during YSR rule but TD has failed to complete the balance 20 per cent.

He said backward Udayagiri region would have been prospered if the present government taken up 5 reservoirs proposed by Dr YSR to put an end to drought there.

The opposition leader highlighted various failures of Chandrababu Naidu government while advising the people to be cautious when they are going to vote during next general elections as the TD chief will come back with new promises.

Meanwhile the Simhapuri Gold Smith cooperative society submitted a petition to Jagan Mohan Reddy and shared their grievances.

The petition read about the problems of the gold Smith's and their insecurities. The issue is regarding the Common Facilities Centre (CFC) centres opened under the MSME scheme.

These centres are going to take away the livelihood opportunity of about 10000 Goldsmith's who are doing their craft for generations, they alleged. According to the goldsmiths, CFC centres have different verticals, which does specialized tasks, and this would deprive the livelihood to the artisans.

The YSRCP Chief accepted their petition and gave assurance that YSRCP would work for resolving their issues.
