Voters being wooed with cash: Dr K Laxman

Congress, Desam fear us, says K. Laxman

Hyderabad: BJP state president Dr K. Laxman has appealed the Election Commission (EC) to be careful when it comes to money transactions done by leaders of the political parties for the two days until the elections are done.

Speaking to the media at the BJP state headquarters on Wednesday, Mr Laxman said, “The leaders of two main political parties are trying to pressurise voters by distributing money. The money caught by the EC shows how the money is floating in these elections. The EC should be careful for the next two days until the election is over. This election will decide the future of Telangana. It’s my appeal to the people of Telangana to vote for the BJP for the development of the state.”

He added, “These are the first elections after a separate state was formed and after many years BJP is contesting alone. Crores of rupees are being distributed by leaders and candidates of other parties.”

“I am thankful and grateful that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP Chief Amit Shah and BJP Chief Ministers from four states and about 40 Union ministers for campaigning in the state. AICC president Rahul Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is also worried after witnessing BJP’s campaign. Fearing defeat in the elections, caretaker chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is making false allegations against the BJP. The Prajakutami, the alliance of TRS and MIM are all illegal alliances that will betray the people of Telangana,” he concluded.
