Revanth, Bandi Sanjay file nominations

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief A. Revanth Reddy, who topped the list of candidates with pending police cases with 89 cases registered by police, ACB and ED, owns movable and immovable assets worth Rs 10 crore. His income, according to income-tax returns, rose from Rs 7 lakh in 2018 to Rs 13 lakh in 2023.

Revanth Reddy said he possessed two weapons — a Rs lakh pistol and a rifle worth Rs 50,000. His sources of income are salary, rent, agriculture and business. Revanth Reddy filed his nomination and submitted his affidavit in Kodangal on Monday.

BJP general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar who filed his nomination in Karimnagar listed 32 cases against him which were pending in court. The BJP leader possessed Rs 42 lakh worth movable assets, and had not immovable assets. His source of income was salary, and his wife is a bank employee.

Kasireddy Narayana Reddy filed nominations from the Congress to contest from Kalwakurthy. He owns Rs 40 crore worth properties. Manchireddy Kishan Reddy from Ibrahimpatnam said he owned properties worth Rs 80 crore. Shabbir Ali from Nizamabad Urban listed Rs 3 crore properties and his wife Nafees Parveen Rs 20 crore properties.

Errabelli Dayakar Rao and his wife Errabelli Usha filed their nominations from Palakurthy. According to the affidavits, Usha possessed Rs 7 crore worth properties and Dayakar Rao Rs 5 crore.

Balladeer Gaddar's daughter Dr Vennela filed nomination from the Secunderabad Cantonment constituency on Monday. She is contesting from the Congress.

In protest against the BRS government, more than 22 unemployed youth have filed nominations from Kamareddy, where Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is contesting.
