Nadda slams KCR, says CM has no shame for aligning with \'razakaars\'

HYDERABAD: The coming Assembly elections in the state are a fight for the future of Telangana, its people, its development, and has a direct impact on the strength of the nation, Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda said on Friday.

In a scathing attack on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and the BRS party, Nadda said: “This is my message to KCR. Do you have no shame? You have joined hands with Razakaars. Do I need to tell the people what Razakaars did to the people of Telangana?”

Calling the BRS a family party like many others in the rest of the country in different states, Nadda said “family parties do not care for people. India moves on issues, ideology, it is not a country that performs aartis to a family. The family cannot make our democracy a slave.”

Every other party in the country, including the Congress which claims it is a national party, is a family party. They change their stands and principles according to their needs. It is only the BJP, since its inception that has not deviated from its principles and policies, Nadda said.

Nadda, addressing the BJP state council meeting at a private venue near the city, called on party leaders and workers from all the districts that there should be no two thoughts when it comes to campaigning.

“Everything the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi did is an issue people should know about. Go boldly for there is no reason to feel any different. And what can I say about corruption here that BRS leaders are neck deep into? This government has played with the lives of the youth, leaked SCC exam papers, leaked TSPSC papers putting the future of 30 lakh youth in jeopardy,” he said.

“Such a government,” Nadda said, “needs to be thrown out, lock, stock and barrel.”

“Modi gave the money, if KCR sitting here messes up, which he has and will again if given a chance, should he not be removed? The worry is that even as Modi keeps pouring resources into the Telangana pot, the pot should not spring leaks,” Nadda said.

The BJP president said “for years, Congress ruled and left the state in tatters, and whatever was left, has been finished off by KCR.’

Nadda reeled out how Telangana benefited hugely from the BJP and Modi led NDA government’s programmes, listing among others, how 2 crore from Telangana receive 5 kg of rice and 5 kg of wheat along with 1 kg of pulses from the Centre, 2.5 lakh houses for the poor under the PM Awas Yojana, 31 lakh toilets under Swachh Bharat among others.

“Tell people that when Telangana wins, then the country wins. Tell them about what the Modi government did, ensure that the lotus blooms in every village and constituency. Changing the future of Telangana for the better can be done only by the BJP,” Nadda said.
