Distribute double bedroom houses to poor families first: AP BJP

Warangal: The chairman of the Warangal Urban Cooperative Bank and BJP leader Errabelli Pradeep has said IT minister KT Rama Rao should stay away from Warangal district until and unless he distributed the promised double-bedroom houses to the state scheme’s beneficiaries.

Around 150 poor families who had given their housing plots to the state government for the construction of double-bedroom houses staged a dharna here on Thursday, saying their names were missing from the list of beneficiaries.

Pradeep extended his support to the poor families and alleged that in 2009, the Congress government had distributed housing plots of 60 yards to 150 poor families of Perukawada in the 33rd division of Warangal.

“After the formation of the Telangana state, the BRS government took the land from these poor families, promising them that it would construct double-bedroom houses and distribute these by giving first preference to them. But, after constructing the houses, BRS local MLA Nannapuneni Narendar did not include their names in the list of beneficiaries and betrayed them,” he said.

He said, "IT minister KT Rama Rao, who will be visiting Warangal on Oct 6, should do justice to these poor families. Otherwise, BJP leaders along with these poor families will not allow KTR to enter Warangal district. We will teach the BRS government a fitting lesson in the coming assembly elections.”

BJP leaders M. Srinivas, Ch. Rajendar, M. Krishna, G. Veeraswamy, O. Veeranna, Ch. Keshava, U. Rajesh, P. Shankar, and K. Satish were present.
