Hyderabad: MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga thanked the Congress for assuring that it would pursue the categorisation of reservations for the Scheduled Caste communities into A, B, C and D groups.
Felicitating Damodara Raja Narasimha on being appointed permanent invitee to the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the party’s apex decision-making body, Krishna, "The Congress should give tickets to candidates keeping in mind the share of population of those from within the SC community.” He sought a White Paper on the funds allocated by the state government based on socio economic surveys."
Present on the occasion were AICC secretary Sampath Kumar and TPCC leader Bakka Judson.
Fake News: TPCC to act against TV channel
Hyderabad: Refuting a report on a television channel that the Telangana Congress had promised hospitals exclusively for Muslims along with free power for mosques and churches, TPCC vice-president Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy that the party would take legal action against it.
According to him, the anchor said: "The Congress party had stated.... before being caught red-handed the party... had decided that there must be hospital in Telangana catering only to Muslims in which Hindus will be denied treatment. If you are a Buddhist, Sikh no doctor will see you despite the condition of the patient (sic)."
The Congress leader stated that the programme had claimed that Muslim youth would get first consideration for jobs and that they will be extended Rs 20 lakh each for higher studies if the party came to power. “This plan is to make the country a Muslim first country and to make the Hindus second class citizens,” the channel claimed, Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy said.
