K Chandrasekhar Rao asks ministers for full attendance

The Chief Minister had only told them that a cabinet meeting will likely be held on September 6.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed all Cabinet ministers to be available in the city on Thursday. He has also asked the party's MLAs to be in Hyderabad by Thursday morning.

The most likely reason for this is that the chief minister will take a decision in the Cabinet meeting likely to be held that day, to dissolve the assembly, leading to early elections.

A senior minister said that so far they have not been informed about any intention to dissolve the assembly, nor was the matter discussed at the last cabinet meeting. The Chief Minister had only told them that a cabinet meeting will likely be held on September 6.

Two important ministers, finance minister Etela Rajendar and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao have, however given enough indications that the dissolution of the assembly is on the cards.

Mr Etela Rajendar on Wednesday said that the Chief Minister will launch the election campaign from Husnabad on September 7. He said that they are all ready for early elections. He said that the Chief Minister's speech at the Husnabad public meeting on that day will be based on the party's political agenda.

Moreover, TRS MLAs who met Mr Rama Rao on Tuesday regarding issues related to their constituencies told the minister after the meeting that they will meet again on Friday, but according to sources, Mr Rama Rao replied that “by that time you all may become former MLAs.”
