Congress releases poll manifesto
Hyderabad: In the wake of speculation about early assembly polls in Telangana, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has announced its election manifesto.
The TPCC election manifesto committee under the chairmanship of MLA T. Jeevan Reddy held a meeting on Wednesday at Gandhi Bhavan. TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who attended the meeting, briefed the media about the party's election manifesto after the meeting.
He said that the coming elections are not Congress verses the Telangana Rashtra Samithi; it is TRS verses Telangana people. Should the Congress be voted to power, the TRS government's Rythu Bandhu and double bedroom home schemes will continue.
Free power supply to Dalits and Tribals for upto 200 units per month is also promised in the manifesto. Recently Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced free power supply to SCs and STs up to 101 units per month.
