CPI: N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao are politically corrupt

Nellore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the ill intention of creating disputes between the two chief ministers of the Telugu states, i.e., N. Chandrababu Naidu of AP and K. Chandrasekhar Rao of Telangana, alleged Communist Party of India national secretary Narayana.

Addressing a press meet at his party office in Bairagipatteda, he said that neither KCR nor Naidu was bringing pressure on the PM for the development of their respective states. While KCR went to Delhi, stating that he would bring a 'Golden Telangana', after going to the PM, he simply asked for a Cabinet post for his daughter, boasting upon his return that he had spoken to the PM about Golden Telangana.

Mr Narayana said that Chandrababu Naidu was not working towards obtaining special status for the state. Both the CMs were working for their own individual selfish gains. They should sit together and discuss issues, such as the water sharing of the Krishna and Godavari rivers. In fact, with both CMs having a good understanding of all the 23 districts of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, if they discussed everything across the table, the problem would be solved, he said. But they were both instead inciting the people against the other.

Besides, Governor Narasimhan was taking the side of the respective chief ministers depending on whether he stayed in AP or Telangana, Mr Narayana observed. Both CMs were resorting to political corruption, he added, claiming he could prove it if they came out in the open.

Though there was a rule that there should be no shifting of loyalties and change of parties, the rule was not being followed by either of the CMs. This was not good for democracy, Mr Narayana said.

He reiterated that KCR had taken the reins of Telangana state with 61 MLAs; the party now had 85 MLAs. How was this possible without political corruption, he asked. AP CM Naidu was also following the same agenda, he alleged.
