Vinod Kumar named BRS LS candidate for Karimnagar

WARANGAL: IT Minister KT Rama Rao has announced that Boinapally Vinod Kumar would contest the next Lok Sabha polls as BRS candidate from the Karimnagar constituency. Kumar is the state planning board vice-chairman. The announcement was made at a public meeting in Husnabad constituency on Friday.

KTR participated in various developmental activities and inaugurated the new indoor stadium constructed at a cost of ₹1 crore. He played badminton along with MLA Husnabad constituency of Karimnagar Satish Kumar and Vinod Kumar.

Speaking in the meeting, Rama Rao came down heavily against Karimnagar MP and BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay.

The minister said the Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay did nothing during the past four years of his tenure as a parliamentarian. “He did not even construct a temple or establish a school or university. But he is provoking the people in the name of religion. Had the local MP been Boinapally Vinod, he would have brought an IIIT to Karimnagar,” he said.

“Bandi Sanjay wants to dig the base of masjids. If people send such cranky people to parliament, they would regret it in future. Digging should, instead, be done for laying foundations for developmental activities like the Kaleshwaram project and for double-bedroom houses, but not to unleash violence,” he said.

Rama Rao said the Husnabad region was once considered a barren land. “It is now flourishing with enormous development in all sectors under the leadership of MLA Satish Kumar. The Gouravelli project constructed in the region will prove to be a blessing to the people of Husnabad,” he said.
