Mayawati hints of becoming PM if gets an opportunity

Ambedkar Nagar: Describing UP's Ambedkar nagar as the road to national politics for her, BSP President Mayawati on Monday has hinted of being the prime ministeral candidate, if got an apportunity.

She said she might have to contest election from here, if all goes well.

 

Condemning an end of 'Namo Namo' era, BSP president who was here to address the poll rally said the time of "Jai Bhim” chant has come.

Though Akhilesh Yadav has always suggested and backed the name of Maywati for prime minister, she never exposed her desire to be the same. This is a fresh attempt of her in which she has come with aspiration to become a PM.

Mayawati has won the Lok Sabha elections from Ambedkar Nagar four times - 1989, 1998, 1999 and 2004.
