Kalaburagi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrives here on Wednesday from New Delhi, is scheduled to launch some development projects besides addressing a public meeting of BJP supporters from the three Lok Sabha constituencies of Kalaburagi, Bidar and Raichur.

According to BJP Leader R Ashok, who has been entrusted the responsibility of overseeing arrangements for the programme, Mr Modi will arrive here at 1135 am by a helicopter.

Before addressing the public at 12.20 pm, he will dedicate some projects to the nation. They include: the ESIC Hospital and Medical College, Bengaluru; super speciality block of KIMS, Hubballi; laying the foundation stone for the new BPCL depot at Kalaburagi besides inaugurating the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal Terminal at Bengaluru and Women's Hostel for students from North Eastern Region at Bengaluru via video conferencing.

Subsequently Mr Modi is scheduled to have an interaction with the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat at a specially designed enclosure in the NV Ground premises.

According to Mr Ashok only State BJP Chief B S Yeddyurappa will address the public for five minutes before Mr Modi delivers his speech. Mr Modi will depart at 1.15pm.

Mr Ashok also said that with Dr Umesh Jadhav's resignation from the Assembly, the Congress had lost its first "wicket" and many more would follow. He hastened to add that the BJP was not behind Dr Jadhav's resignation and he had quit due to the internal problems in the Congress.

Asked who had "bowled out" Dr Jadhav and "taken the catch," Mr Ashok quipped, "I cannot tell you that. But according to my assessment he fell for the fast ball bowled by their own (Congress) bowler. " Singling out the chairman of the coordination committee, Siddaramaiah for the problems besetting the Congress, he said," I have heard that Siddaramaiah is the main conspirator trying to remove the coalition government."
