Hyderabad: YSR Congress president and leader of Opposition in AP Assembly Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Saturday said that his party would move a No Confidence Motion against the Chandrababu Naidu government during the current Budget Session.

Speaking to the media at the AP Assembly, Jaganmohan Reddy said that the party may move the No Confidence Motion after the Assembly adopted the Thanks Motion for the Governor’s address. He said that as per the rules, if a notice was given for moving a No Confidence Motion against the Council of Ministers, and if it was found in order, then the Speaker had to allow the motion for debate in the House even if the session had to be extended for the purpose.

Earlier, Jaganmohan Reddy led a protest march to the Assembly from the Ravindra Bharathi circle along with party MLAs against the corrupt practices of the TDP government which had neglected the people’s interests at all levels.

Before embarking on the march, wearing a black scarf, he said that their protest was against various issues, but mostly against the large-scale corruption prevalent within the TDP government and the shameless conduct of the chief minister in encouraging such activities and defections.

“This march is against his dictatorial attitude and anti-people policies, trading MLAs with the ill-gotten wealth from various scams, especially the murky one involving the capital region and real estate business which has seen the alienation of land by the Dalits, mischief played in the capital area by sending out prior knowledge about the capital city to his coterie and allowing them to buy large parcels of land before the announcement of the capital area and changing the alignment and fixing the zonal limits for the advantage of his favoured parties at the cost of the Dalits and poor farmers, which is highly condemnable,” Mr Jagan added.
