TJAC to fight polls in alliance

It is learnt that the new party's symbol may be farmer carrying plough or a symbol representing employment.

ADILABAD: The political party to be floated by the TJAC led by Prof M. Kodandaram in March is likely to have an alliance with a national party.

The new party will fight for farmers, unemployed and Telangana agitators. It is learnt that TJAC will announce its new party and symbol and philosophy at a public meeting to be organised at the end of March in Hyderabad.

The TJAC leaders would like to have an alliance with the national party to prevent the split of anti-incumbency votes to beat the ruling TRS in the next elections. It is learnt that the new party’s symbol may be farmer carrying plough or a symbol representing employment.

Sources in the TJAC claim that the sole purpose of launching the new political party was to dislodge the TRS government as it had failed to protect the interest of farmers, unemployed and people who fought for getting statehood to Telangana.

The party name would be the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) as sounds similar to the TJAC, an abbreviation that popular among people.

The sources said that they will fight tooth and nail to defeat the TRS and they will go for an alliance if their strength was not sufficient to do so and to see that a government was formed which cares much for aspirations of farmers, unemployed youth, and Telangana agitators.
