Pick fight with Centre: Vundavalli to CM N Chandrababu Naidu

Criticises Jana Sena chief for silence on meagre allocations.

RAJAHMUNDRY: Former MP Vundavalli Aruna Kumar has suggested to the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to pull down the BJP led NDA government by mobilising support from the dissident MPs from BJP and also from other parties as they have caused gross injustice to the state by failing to make any major allocations in the Union budget.

On Monday, the ex-MP said that already BJP has 10 rebel MPs and BJP senior leaders like Yashwant Singh and Shatrughan Sinha held a meeting recently opposing some provisions in the Union budget.

He asked CM Naidu to muster support from such MPs and dethrone the BJP government. Welcoming the CM Naidu’s open criticism on poor allocations in the Union Budget for AP, the ex-MP advised the AP leaders to fight in the Parliament instead of merely criticising it. He wondered as to why CM Naidu was hesitating to pick a fight with the Centre. Referring to a remark by a senior RSS leader in New Delhi that the funds allotted to AP by the Centre was being siphoned away in the form of commissions, he asked whether such things were happening in the state. He advised Naidu not to get distressed and credited him for his ability to manage judiciary and asked him to make strong efforts to get whatever the state was supposed to get as per the provisions of AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

In regard to the Union budget, the ex-MP said that the state was being subjected in injustice in the last four years in terms of financial allocations and there was nothing new in the recent budget allocations.

He called it unfortunate that the petroleum refinery was shifted to Mumbai against the proposal to set it up at Kakinada and expressed anger on no allocations given for Polavaram irrigation project and Nabard.

He criticised the Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan for remaining silent on the meagre allocations to AP in the Union budget and opined that the party should have taken it as a golden opportunity to corner the Centre.
